Congratulations 2007 FAIMER Fellows!

Congratulations to the 2007 batch of FAIMER Institute Fellows as they complete their second year! We first met two years ago at the Gregg Center in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a little nervous and uncertain about the program. One year ago, you returned and presented a poster on the status of your education innovation project, met and mentored the new FAIMER Fellows, and made plans for continuing your work in health professions education. For the past year, you have continued work at your schools, interacted with Fellows on the listserv, and participated in ML Web group discussions.

This is a great accomplishment, reflecting many hours of project work including creation of a poster and abstract, ML Web project development and analysis including many hours of conference calls, countless listserv contributions, and assorted one on one interactions by email, SMS, phone, and face to face.

Page, Ray, Debby, Ralf, Stacey, John, Jack, Danette, Jim, and I are extremely pround of your work and your contribution to the FAIMER family of Fellows.

Since the conclusion of your Fellowship occurs when we are all scattered around the globe, I thought an "online" graduation celebration would be appropriate. Let's use this space to offer congratulations, post reflections and favorite memories of the experience, post our favorite 2007 batch pictures, and celebrate the moment!

The two year Fellowship is officially over, but your involvement in the FAIMER Community goes on. We hope you continue to mentor others, participate and creat in collaborative research projects.

Good work 2007 batch!

Sincerely: Bill

Thank you FAIMER faculty for creating a novel way of celebrating completion of our fellowship program. We keep on learning from you and from other fellows and this is also a learning moment!! I am using the blog or being blogged for the first time- so thanks for providing such an enriching learning environment which is thoroughly "holistic".

Nice work Bill. Does this mean we all can contribute, or is this exclusively for the 2007s at the moment?

Dear 2007 fellows: It was an honor to share last year some time with you all, and also to be part of the same community. Let us hope we keep in touch and also be able to help each other in our projects and personally.

Dear Bill,
Thank you for this! It does make us feel special to be the first class to have formal graduation.

Dear 2007 colleagues,
Does anyone have Astrid's powerpoint? That would be a good post to start with. She had given us all a CD. I will try to find mine today - I hope it will be possible to post it.
Looking forward to being in touch!

Dear fellows,

Time flies but I must confess that we accomplished a lot with the assistance of our facilitators / faculty. Bill, Page, Derby, Jack, et al, you all deserve to be commended for your commitment to the program. Katherine and Alberta your administrative skills kept us on our toes especially with the deliverables. Thanks too!

We will definitely keep this blog running even in busy schedules.

I am the "feeling" person in the group and I am always teary-eyed everytime I view this blog. There is no way to express the heartfelt gratitude that our group have in the great contribution FAIMER (as a whole) in our careers.
It is very apt indeed to call our group the "interesting, revealing and exciting" because of the very nice mix of personalities.
A million thanks and this graduation is just a beginning of more to come.

Great blog work Bill!
I am indeed overwhelmed with joy for this wonderful opportunity to continue the interaction started about 2 years ago. Time flies indeed! Our accomplishments in the past 2 years and years to come created and nurtured by FAIMER will continue to have multiplier effects on improving the health of the communities. Many thanks to FAIMER, many thanks to members of my class 2007 and many thanks to all members of the FAIMER Family.

The graduation is surely the begining of many more successes to come. It will continue to be "interesting, exciting and revealing"
