- I am the Associate Vice President for Education at FAIMER. FAIMER's goal, and mine, is to improve the health of communities through improvement of health professions education. Our focus is to strengthen education leadership and management, education methodology, and develop local, regional and global communities of educators.

It's humbling to be given a chance to train with selected medical and non-medical colleagues all over the world, many of who are much more experienced than I am in research in medical education and development. I am indebted to the FAIMER faculty and fellows (FAIMER Family) for such a wonderful and invaluable teachng-learning experience of a life time. I hope we are all creating "ripples" that will have far-reaching effects in our respective institutions and countries, and eventually in the whole world.
I've taken my first step (rather wobbly one), and there are probably a thousand miles still ahead of me .... miles of challenges that can only be met with innovations! Debra
